當(dāng)人們?cè)谡劜挥煤诎褰虒W(xué),實(shí)質(zhì)在談?wù)撌裁矗渴亲寣W(xué)生拿著 Ipad 上課與做作業(yè)?還是在談?wù)撐磥?lái)教學(xué)?《中國(guó)未來(lái)學(xué)校2.0:概念框架》在描繪未來(lái)學(xué)校時(shí)表示,“真正成為一所未來(lái)學(xué)校,要改變教育模式,首先要改變的就是教學(xué)空間。”廣州市斐特思學(xué)校的校園建筑已實(shí)現(xiàn)這點(diǎn)。
How do teachers teach without a blackboard? Teach with tablets? Teach with technology? "China's Future School 2.0: A Conceptual Framework" states: "To truly become a school of the future, schools must change their education model; and the first thing to change is the teaching space." At FCG this has been achieved.

Outdoor Learning
全球背景下的社區(qū)設(shè)計(jì)
Community Design in A Global Context社區(qū)設(shè)計(jì)是MYP八年級(jí)的一項(xiàng)非常重要的核心課程。學(xué)子需要綜合運(yùn)用MYP8大學(xué)科的知識(shí),5大學(xué)習(xí)技能,在6 大全球背景下展開(kāi)探究。學(xué)子們走出教室,甚至延展到校外,通過(guò)調(diào)研、制定計(jì)劃、具體實(shí)施與反思等過(guò)程,為身處的社區(qū)提供服務(wù)與支持。如:Community Design is one of the core courses in MYP Grade 8, requiring students to integrate their knowledge of MYP8 disciplines and 5 learning skills to explore the functions of community in complex global contexts. Students engage with the local community, providing service and support through projects such as:
1、樹(shù)洞空間-學(xué)子們通過(guò)利用校園環(huán)境,設(shè)計(jì)和改造空間,為同學(xué)們營(yíng)造一個(gè)可放松休息的空間。
Tree Reflection Areas--Students make the most of the available space on campus to create a comfortable area to relax.
2、致敬環(huán)境美容師-學(xué)子通過(guò)實(shí)地走訪與觀察的形式,了解環(huán)衛(wèi)工人和學(xué)校保潔人員的工作狀況,向師生們宣傳愛(ài)護(hù)環(huán)境清潔從自身做起的必要性。Respect for campus environment – Students visit our campus maintenance teams to learn about their working conditions and call on teachers and students to protect the environment – understanding that even small changes make a difference.
我們鼓勵(lì)學(xué)子的學(xué)習(xí)范圍不僅只限于書(shū)本,還要學(xué)會(huì)走出教室,運(yùn)用跨學(xué)科思維認(rèn)真探究、用心體會(huì),學(xué)以致用。從影響一個(gè)社區(qū)到影響世界。We encourage students to learn beyond books and out of the classroom, to explore with interdisciplinary thinking, to experience with open mind, and to apply what they have learned in changing community and outside world.

體育節(jié)是FCG 一年一度的體育盛事,學(xué)子們?cè)隗w育競(jìng)技中互助互勉和頑強(qiáng)拼搏,充分發(fā)揚(yáng)奧林匹克精神。我們倡導(dǎo)全人教育,鼓勵(lì)學(xué)子在學(xué)習(xí)與運(yùn)動(dòng)中取得平衡,培養(yǎng)熱愛(ài)運(yùn)動(dòng)、積極向上的生活態(tài)度。為此,學(xué)校配備一應(yīng)俱全且專(zhuān)業(yè)的體育設(shè)施,如國(guó)際足聯(lián)認(rèn)證(FIFA)的足球場(chǎng)、國(guó)際籃聯(lián)認(rèn)證(FIBA)的籃球場(chǎng)、標(biāo)準(zhǔn)恒溫游泳池、排球場(chǎng)、壁球館、攀巖墻、室內(nèi)高爾夫館、健身室等,以學(xué)子們?cè)趹?hù)外運(yùn)動(dòng)中身心都能得到極大地發(fā)展。The FCG Festival of Sport is an annual event where students work together and support each other as teammates. of FCG. In line with our commitment to holistic education we encourage students to strike a balance between academic learning and sports. Through developing a passion for sport they will maintain a positive attitude towards life. The school is equipped with a full range of high-quality facilities, such as a FIFA football field, FIBA basketball stadium, heated swimming pool, volleyball and squash courts, climbing wall, indoor golf hall, and gym.

English Course - A Campus Adventure
英語(yǔ)怎樣學(xué)才能既有趣又能嫻熟地被運(yùn)用?小學(xué)部的 Owen 老師帶著他的學(xué)生探索了整個(gè)美麗的校園,教授他們?nèi)绾斡糜⒄Z(yǔ)正確地描述從一個(gè)地方到另一個(gè)地方,和準(zhǔn)確地運(yùn)用介詞來(lái)表示位置和方向。學(xué)子們拿著地圖,在 200 畝的校園內(nèi)里充分地運(yùn)用英語(yǔ)聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、寫(xiě)的能力來(lái)完成探險(xiǎn)任務(wù),讓英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)充滿樂(lè)趣和吸引力。除此之外,通過(guò)了解校園每座建筑的設(shè)計(jì)理念和文化底蘊(yùn),他們對(duì) FCG 又有了深刻的認(rèn)識(shí)。更重要的是,每位學(xué)子都樂(lè)在其中。How can English be fun to learn and skillfully used? Mr. Owen took his PS students on a tour of the beautiful campus, teaching them how to correctly describe the route in English, and how to accurately indicate location and direction with prepositions. With maps in hand, the students made full use of their language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing to complete the adventure on the 200-acre campus. In addition, they learnt about the design concept and cultural heritage of each building on campus. It was a great experience, enjoyed by all!
1+∞ 馬術(shù)拓展課
1+∞ Equestrian Enrichement
上周我們開(kāi)展了專(zhuān)業(yè)的馬術(shù)拓展課。馬術(shù)源自英國(guó),是一項(xiàng)優(yōu)雅小眾的運(yùn)動(dòng),它充滿樂(lè)趣與挑戰(zhàn),騎行者需要具備勇氣、膽量和一定的身體素質(zhì)。學(xué)子們?cè)隈Z馬師的指導(dǎo)下學(xué)習(xí)了馬術(shù)知識(shí)、體驗(yàn)了騎行的樂(lè)趣、參與了馬食的投喂,拓寬了認(rèn)知邊界。Last week we had our first professional Equestrian Enrichment class. Originating from Britain horse riding is an elegant and niche sport full of fun and challenges, demanding courage and a strong body. Under the guidance of the trainers, students learnt about horsemanship, experienced the fun of riding and feeding horses, and broadened their minds.
與高爾夫一樣,馬術(shù)作為一項(xiàng)小眾的運(yùn)動(dòng)項(xiàng)目,除了自身的健身與觀賞價(jià)值之外,在一定程度上提高了學(xué)生在海外大學(xué)申請(qǐng)的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力。不少精英家庭從小培養(yǎng)孩子學(xué)習(xí)高爾夫或馬術(shù),不少孩子憑借出色的體育專(zhuān)長(zhǎng)獲得了世界前 100 大學(xué)拋來(lái)的橄欖枝。Another benefit of horse riding is that it may improve the competitive edge of students applying to first-rate universities overseas as children from elite families often learn golf or horsemanship from a young age, and have their sporting expertise valued by leading world universities.

Splash Day -Early Years Education(EY)
什么是水?水的狀態(tài)是怎樣?它有什么用途?如何讓孩子克服游泳的恐懼?如果用理論來(lái)傳授孩子這些知識(shí)會(huì)很枯燥,那么我們就用潑水玩樂(lè)的方式來(lái)開(kāi)啟認(rèn)知的大門(mén)。What is water? What is the state of the water? What is it used for? How do children overcome the fear of swimming? If it's too boring to teach a child this knowledge through books, then water splashing is a wonderful way to help children improve their general knowledge and understanding of water.
主題探究課-植樹(shù)節(jié)
Unit of Inquiry - Arbor Day
斐特思幼兒園擁有獨(dú)立的大型的游樂(lè)園、STEM 教室、木工房、劇院、圖書(shū)館、攀巖墻、大面積戶(hù)外活動(dòng)區(qū)域和生態(tài)種植園。能滿足展形式多樣的主題探究課的需求。如IBPYP 主題探究之世界怎樣運(yùn)作,我們以植樹(shù)節(jié)的形式帶著孩子在戶(hù)外學(xué)習(xí)根、莖、葉、花、果的知識(shí);一起種植多肉植物;發(fā)揮創(chuàng)意,用蔬菜做拼貼畫(huà);到生態(tài)種植園植樹(shù),了解自然規(guī)律、四季變化,春耕秋收的知識(shí)。With a large amusement park, STEM classrooms, woodworking room, theatre, library, climbing wall, large outdoor activity area and eco-garden, FCG EY is well-equipped to carry out various types of thematic inquiry, for example, the IBPYP inquiry project, ‘How the world works’. With perfect timing for Arbor Day, we took children outdoors to observe roots, stems, leaves, flowers and fruits, planted succulents, made collages with vegetables, and planted trees – all helping the children understand the laws of nature, the changing seasons and an introduction to farming.

世界那么大,不如去看看。除了校內(nèi)的戶(hù)外教學(xué),我們將“教室”延展至校外,讓學(xué)子擁有廣闊的視野,寬廣的胸懷,堅(jiān)毅的意志,獨(dú)立自信的品格。We live in a big world where there are so many places to see, people to meet, and experiences to be had. In addition to the outdoor teaching on campus, we extend the "classroom" outside the school, so our students develop great vision, broad minds, strong will, independence and confidence.
堅(jiān)毅力項(xiàng)目-全校師生家長(zhǎng)參與的戶(hù)外鍛煉。學(xué)子每年挑戰(zhàn)攀越一座高峰,無(wú)畏風(fēng)雨,培養(yǎng)堅(jiān)毅力。Perseverance Programme - outdoor events for teachers, students and parents. Developing a strong attitude towards wind and rain, our students challenge themselves to conquer a peak each year, learning perseverance and persistence along the way.
田野周-學(xué)生參與秋收勞作,認(rèn)識(shí)食物的珍貴。Field Week - Students participate in our autumn harvest festival and learn to appreciate the value of food.
環(huán)保企業(yè)、博物館、動(dòng)物園、海洋館、生態(tài)叢林......學(xué)習(xí)之旅-讓知識(shí)回歸真實(shí)世界,化為創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)造。Environmental awareness activities include trips to museums, zoos, aquariums and an ecological jungle. The learning journey for our students involves connecting theoretical knowledge with the real world, and inspiring innovation and creation.
